The Client
Capital Eggs is a Wellington-based egg and egg product distribution company. They’ve been hand-delivering farm-fresh New Zealand eggs to restaurants, hotels, cafes and caterers across the Wellington Region for over 45 years.
The Challenge
Their existing website was losing customers and had steep maintenance costs. Many of Capital Eggs’ customers were having difficulty navigating the site and using the online ordering system. Frustrated, they would often have to resort to ordering their eggs over the phone instead. Capital Eggs, realising the trouble that this was causing their valued customers, decided they needed a new website that simplified the ordering process and had a better overall user experience.
We designed and built Capital Eggs a brand new ecommerce website using Shopify with a big emphasis on improving user experience and simplifying the ordering process. We migrated all their customer accounts and products from the existing website and improved customer account security.
The Result
Since the launch of their new website, Capital Eggs’ online sales have skyrocketed. Many customers have complimented the website, saying it’s a big improvement from their former one.
Fewer customers are calling in to make manual orders. The new online ordering system is much easier to use and is simplifying the workflow for Capital Eggs’ staff, saving them plenty of time and energy.
